Frankincense Resin Incense
Frankincense, also known as olibanum, is made from the resin of the Boswellia tree. It typically grows in the dry, mountainous regions of India, Africa and the Middle East and has been used for centuries for its spiritual properties. According to the Hebrew Bible, frankincense was a component of the holy incense ritually burned in Jerusalem's sacred temples during ancient times. It has an unmistakable sweet, woody scent with notes of lemon and is well known for its powers of purification and protection. measuring approximately 1.18”x3.15”. Approx Net Wt: 23 grams.
For best results: Frankincense is typically burned on special charcoal designed for this purpose. Light the charcoal and place inside an incense burner. When it is finished sparkling and crackling, take a small piece of resin and place it in the middle of the coal. As the resin begins to bubble and melt, its smoke and fragrance will be released. Additional pieces can be added as desired. Never leave lit charcoal unattended or close to flammable materials and make sure your incense burner is on a heat resistant surface.
